#1 Hide And Seek
This is not only entertaining for your dog but it’s also pretty fun for you too! Hide and seek is a great way to bond with your dog, plus it keeps their mind and nose active.
Dog’s are pretty clever and it won’t take long for them to figure out that you’re playing with them.
All you have to do is get your dog engaged and chasing you, then you can duck behind a door or hide in a room, waiting for them to find you.
The best part is seeing the silly look on their face when they finally figure out where you are or you pop out from around the corner!
#2 Puzzles!
Puzzles are another awesome way to get your dog’s mind going.
You can purchase numerous different puzzles with varying levels of difficulty online or at pet stores.
You can also make some of your own using a muffin tin and tennis balls.
Take an empty muffin tin, throw a treat or two in each tin (skip some if you want) and cover every one with a tennis ball.
For small and toy breeds you can use mini muffin tins and mini tennis balls!
#3 Interactive Toys
Interactive dog toys can provide hours of entertainment for some dogs.
You are welcome to purchase some from online or the pet store or you can even make your own!

#4 Work On Some Training
Dogs usually love to please their owners and training or working on commands is usually a fun way for both of you to learn.
Most of our pups could use a little refresher and even if they don’t I’m sure they’ll enjoy it no matter what!
Work on your old commands if you want, or you can even look up YouTube videos for some cool tricks or inspirational ideas.
#5 Hide Some Treats Around The House
If you have a food motivated doggo that would spend hours snooping around for treats or crumbs on the floor, then this would be a great resource for you on a rainy day.
Simply hide some treats or even their favorite toys in various locations throughout the house.
Just make sure that your pet can get to them, of course!
If your dog is overweight and you’re trying to keep them on a diet, you can take a portion of the daily meal and use these kibbles as treats instead of giving them extra calories.
So, How To Entertain Your Dog On A Rainy Day?
Just because the clouds are overhead and the rain is falling doesn’t mean the day is totally lost.
If you and your dog are bored, then giving one or two of these ideas a try could end up leading to hours of entertainment.
