Use A Pooper Scooper

A pooper scooper is an excellent way to put some distance between you and your dog’s poo.

Many doggy pooper scoopers will have a scoop and small shovel or a squeezing handle that opens up and grabs the poop for you.

There’s no touching involved, save for the scooping with the tool itself and then disposal.

Use A Glove Or A Bag

I know that you still have to kind of touch the poop this way, but there will be moments where you just don’t have a choice.

Using a glove, bag or paper towel to pick up an unwanted poo accident is something that all owners will have to deal with at one point or another.

Where Should You Dispose Dog Poop?

Whether you’re at home, cleaning up your backyard or you’re taking your dog for a walk through the neighborhood, you may be wondering how you can dispose of your dog’s poop.

Flush It – It Is Poop After All

I mean, we go in the toilet, so why can’t we flush our dog’s poop as well.

If your puppy who is potty training didn’t quite let you know he had to go, you can always pick up the mess with some toilet paper and toss it in!

Make sure that you don’t flush poop that is already in a baggie as this can cause issues with your plumbing.

However, there are flushable dog poop bags, such as the PetBro Flush ‘n Go Dog Poop Bags, that can be found and purchased online.

Compost Your Dog’s Poop

Some owners have taken to composting their dog’s waste as a way to keep the yard clean, fertilize their flower beds and help keep plastic out of the environment.

Just use your scooper to pick up the stool and toss it into the compost that you have set up.

There are some bins that you can purchase online that are intended for indoor composting of dog waste using the vermosting method.

Which involves worms breaking down the fecal matter.

But, let’s be honest, most of us aren’t super jazzed about that idea.

The PetBrow Flush ‘n Go Dog Poop Bags, along with several others like it, also tout their compostability. Making it easy to toss the poop bag from your afternoon walk with Charlie into the compost.

Your Dog’s Poop – Their Mess But Your Responsibility

Having a canine companion is a pleasure and a privilege for some of us. However, cleaning up after them is not, especially when it comes to poop.

Picking up your dog’s doo is certainly not something that you look forward to, but using a pooper scooper can help keep some distance between you and the poo.
