Dog-Friendly Restaurants In Downtown Indy

Downtown Indianapolis is always on the go, even compared to its populous neighbor city of Chicago!

But which of the downtown restaurants and bars will welcome your four-legged friend?

#1 Ralston’s

Ralston’s will certainly not disappoint! This buzzing tavern is a must-see for people traveling through Indy as its pub food is delicious and leaves you wanting more after each bite.

Not to mention their incredibly spacious patio area that appeals to the dog-friendly folks and atmosphere.

Your pooch will have a blast hanging out as you and your friend play darts and shuffleboard while enjoying the numerous different beers, ciders and wines that they have on tap.

#2 BRU Burger Bar & Restaurant

Who doesn’t love a gourmet cheeseburger, a spacious patio and dog-friendly ambiance?

Well, the folks at BRU Burger know exactly how to attract a crowd with their tasty pub food and craft beers.

Your dog is welcome on the patio as they have ample room for several pups to lounge with their owners.

There are even dog bowls for dogs to have a sip of some water while they’re hanging out.

The only thing that would make BRU Burger even better is a dog specific menu!

Another downtown Indianapolis favorite is Conner’s Kitchen & Bar.

This relaxing restaurant with an industrial vibe can be found attached to the Marriott.

They have excellent reviews for their comfort food, cocktails and craft beers.

Conner’s has a large outdoor patio that can be temperature controlled and warm, even during Indiana’s bitter, cold winters.

Their beautiful patio is a great place for your dog to join the family in a nice lunch or romantic dinner.

This local downtown favorite is located inside the Marriott Hotel, which has a high class, yet relaxing vibe that many residents love stopping in for.

#4 Fresco Italian Cafe on the Canal

Downtown Indianapolis is known for the beautiful canal that runs throughout.

Several restaurants, including Fresco Italian, have the pleasure of sitting on the canal, making for a great view and cooling breeze for people and their pet’s during a warm day of exploring downtown.

This family restaurant has fair prices, delicious food, Italian ice and gelato as well as treats for our four-legged friends!

This bar is located right off the Broad Ripple canal and has spacious and well-covered patio seating that has a super fun and relaxing ambience no matter who you’re with or how hot it is.

Flatwater not only has unique dishes that are made to mouth-watering perfection, but they also have incredibly friendly and entertaining servers that make the time out with your dog and friends that much better!

#2 Broad Ripple Brewpub

Broad Ripple Brewpub, a modern English-style brewpub with a vintage vibe is this excellent and well-loved bar in none other than busy Broad Ripple proper.

They tout comfort food with a family and dog-friendly atmosphere.

On their spacious, cozy patio, dogs are welcome at all times. This is an excellent place to stop for a bite to eat and a drink after having a fun day on the canal or taking a long stoll on one of the many Monon walking trails.

Broad Ripple Brewpub’s legacy as the first brewpub in Indiana has stayed a highlight of their history.

Plump’s Last Shot is a dog friendly bar in Broad Ripple with an interesting and unique basketball memorabilia theme that many fans come specifically to appreciate.

Not only does Plump’s offer a casual atmosphere with great drink selections and delicious food, but their outdoor patio is welcome to all customers and their four-legged companions.

Some days, you can still stop by and catch the owner and Indianapolis Basketball Hall of Famer, Bobby Plump, socializing with friends and customers alike!
